Experience

Timothy preceded his writing career at San Francisco State University, where he became involved in the NewsWatch program to monitor the fair representation of minorities in media. He was then an on-camera personality for QTV News Magazine in 1995 before moving to San Diego in 2000. He took a lengthy hiatus from writing to become a foster parent and raise his two adopted children, then returned in 2015 to help launch the online horror entertainment site iHorror.com. It has since become one of the top news sites in that genre, garnering millions of readers and social media followers. Timothy became established as a leading voice in LGBTQ+ news media as the editor-in-chief for San Diego Gay & Lesbian News and Gaycation Magazine. He now resides in Arizona, where he writes for Phoenix New Times and Edge Media, and pursues his love for junk food and casual dining as a food writer for Static Media.

Education

Timothy completed coursework in journalism at San Francisco State University. He later enrolled in online courses at Bridgepoint Education (now University of Arizona Global Campus) and received his bachelor's degree in journalism and mass communications.
