James is a writer/editor with over a dozen years of professional experience. He spent over 13 years at The Alpena News, serving as sports writer, sports editor, page designer, and assistant managing editor. In addition to dabbling in freelance writing, James has also served as a writer/editor focusing on travel/tourism content for Red Oak Local, a Michigan-based publisher.

Education

James holds a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism from Michigan State University, where he honed his writing/editing skills working for the university newspaper and several websites to cover MSU sports and campus events.
