The Best Trader Joe's Breakfast Finds Of 2026 (So Far)

Add The Takeout on Google:

Whether you believe breakfast really is the most important meal of the day, you force yourself to eat it so you don't pass out before your lunch break, or you skip the morning meal unless you've got a hot brunch date; there's no denying the pull of breakfast food. And in this area, Trader Joe's delivers. Sure, even loyal Trader Joe's customers admit there are annoyances to grocery shopping at a store that does things a bit differently (we're looking at you, prepackaged fruits and vegetables), but the food quality and creativity with product selection is not among them.

In 2026, Trader Joe's has launched a plethora of breakfast foods and beverages that aren't to be missed. I've chosen 11 of the best a.m. options for this list, from the celebratory to the quick and practical, with sweet and savory options to suit all tastes. There's something for the protein maxers, the brunch girlies, the breakfast-for-dinner crowd, and even a dying breed — the morning muffin enthusiast.

Chino Valley Ranchers The Jammy Egg

Boiling an egg is apparently a basic kitchen skill, but even confident cooks may baulk at preparing a perfectly jammy egg. Somewhere between a soft boiled egg and a hard boiled egg, jammy eggs have a fully-cooked white and a gorgeous, custardy yolk. If you're a jammy yolk lover but aren't ready to attempt to-the-second precision boiling every morning, you can buy them pre-peeled and bagged at Trader Joe's in packs of four. Chino Valley Ranchers Jammy Eggs are $3.99 at TJ's, and they come ready-to-eat as a breakfast time snack or as part of a fancy, egg-based breakfast.

Sliced Double-Chocolate Chip Brioche

Ah, brioche, one of several sneaky ways to eat cake for breakfast. But brioche is a classy option, it's French! Priced at $5.49 for a pretty hefty loaf, Trader Joe's Sliced Double Chocolate Brioche pairs coco-rich brioche bread with a healthy amount of chocolate chips. It's great toasted with butter, as the base for French toast, or in a sweet-and-salty melange with bacon (just beware of burning the brioche as the high sugar content means it browns easily). TJ's hasn't always had hits with brioche-inspired items, but as long as you're a fan of sweet breakfast this certainly is one.

Uncured Ham & Swiss Cheese Pockets

What if Hot Pockets were nothing like Hot Pockets? That would be Trader Joe's Uncured Ham & Swiss Cheese Pockets, of course! Priced at $4.99 for a box of two, these instant breakfast pastries get flaky and delicious if you heat them in an air fryer. They're filed with good quality ham alongside Swiss cheese that gets nice and melted (and yes, volcano-hot) when cooked. While they could handle more filling, they're perfect as a side for eggs and other savory breakfast staples. If you're feeling wild, you could even cut them open and pop scrambled eggs inside to make a near-instant handheld breakfast sandwich croissant.

Dill-icious Cream Cheese Spread

With Dill-icious Cream Cheese Spread, the culinary geniuses behind the scenes at Trader Joe's have come up with one of those innovations that makes so much sense it seems like it should have existed forever. The dill-flavored cream cheese spread is as thick and creamy as a proper bagel shop schmear.

Priced at $2.79, the limited-time cream cheese is great on its own or with classic breakfast and brunch bagel fillings like smoked salmon or trout. And with the age-old "what kind of cream cheese do I want on my bagel" conundrum resolved, only one question remains: How much cream cheese is the right amount of cream cheese? That, you'll have to decide for yourself; and whatever you conclude, someone will be annoyed by it.

Orange Mimosa Wine Cocktail

Mimosas aren't an everyday breakfast item for most of us, but you'll look like a fantastic host if you have a couple of bottles of Trader Joe's Orange Mimosa Wine Cocktail stashed for impromptu brunch celebrations and those all-day holiday season parties.

Sweet, sparkling, and citrus-forward, the 8% alcohol by volume cocktail is well-balanced and gentle; just as a brunch drink should be. At $7.99, it's a great deal, so why not keep a few bottles on hand just in case?

Spicy Spuds

Spicy Spuds are essentially home fries with parmesan,  lime, paprika, and cayenne. Frozen and ready to heat in the air fryer or oven, the vaguely Mexican-inspired breakfast potatoes would make a great side for eggs or a hearty filling for burritos. If you're someone who enjoys putting great breakfast meal prep ideas to use, these are the spuds for you. And at $4.49 for a bag containing 5 servings, they're a great value too.

Canned Black Cold Brew Coffee

Trader Joe's is on a mission to make cold brew affordable and accessible. A noble cause, I guess, if ending world hunger is already taken. It's certainly well on its way with this Canned Black Cold Brew Coffee, which retails at $1.99 for a groovily-styled 8.54-ounce can.

While black coffee is functional and hard to mess up too badly, this cold brew in a tin doesn't have the plastic taste some other brands are cursed with. The coffee itself is made by a Turkish coffee supplier using South and Central American Arabica beans. The result is a smooth, easy-drinking black coffee at a price it's hard to say no to.

Honeycrisp Apple Granola

This limited-time granola mix leans into autumnal apple and honey flavors with just a hint of the fall spices that dominate the pumpkin spice mixes that we've come to associate with fall. TJ's Honeycrisp Apple Granola is priced at $3.99 for a 12-ounce package and is delicious as a cereal with your milk of choice. Because of its balanced flavors, it also works well with Greek yogurt and jam or sliced fresh fruit assembled into a quick DIY parfait, or as a topping for ice cream.

Breakfast Bowls

Trader Joe's new Breakfast Bowls are a near-perfect savory breakfast; home fries, crumbled sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, and a creamy cheddar cheese sauce. Priced at $3.49 each, the frozen bowls are good for busy mornings and lazy ones alike. They're ready in just a couple minutes in the microwave, plus a little time to let it cool down.

The most impressive thing about these bowl is the eggs. They're the texture of, well ... eggs. And while I love instant breakfast foods, I have to admit that I expect frozen and microwaved eggs to be a bit spongy. As one Redditor put it, the eggs in TJ's Breakfast Bowl "seems like actual scrambled eggs, and the texture isn't dry at all."

Instant Jeju Matcha Latte Packets

American demand for matcha has been soaring in recent years, as anyone who's been in a coffee shop lately can tell you — the green tea powder seems to be everywhere. If you've developed a taste for the stuff but don't want to pay Starbucks prices for a daily pick-me-up, Trader Joe's offers a solution with instant matcha latte packets at $4.99 for 10.

If you haven't tried a matcha latte yet, why not give it a go? The tea drink offers a more focused energy boost than coffee, which is perfect for a long work day. TJ's Instant Jeju Matcha Latte Packets contain milk powder and sugar, so you just add water and stir. There's no annoying matcha clumps in sight, and no need for a whisk.

Just Like Your Grandma's Stuffing Chicken Sausage

These limited-time breakfast sausages are chock full of all the flavors of stuffing (or a Sunday lunch), including carrots, celery, sage, thyme, rosemary, and caramelized onions. Perfect for a hearty a.m. meal in the colder months, the bangers are pre-cooked and ready to heat-and-eat. This makes them an easy choice on even the blurriest mornings as there's no danger of undercooking them before that first bit of caffeine has kicked in. And as they're chicken sausages, they're also on the healthier side for a breakfast meat, though they certainly don't taste it! Grab yourself a pack of six Just Like Your Grandma's Stuffing Chicken Sausages for $4.99 at Trader Joe's before the end of November and start experimenting with hearty breakfasts like Gordon Ramsay's English breakfast sandwich.
