If you were contemplating a Costco membership and familiarizing yourself with the store's offerings by way of the website, you might be in for some sticker shock. At a supermarket such as Kroger, you'll find hundreds of frozen foods costing just a few dollars. At Costco, however, many items in the freezer case run into double digits, so what of the store's famous savings? When you're strolling the store aisles, however, it becomes immediately apparent what's going on. Costco is a warehouse store, after all, so all of these items are bulk buys and priced accordingly.

We did manage to find a few budget-friendly offerings, however. For under $15, each one provides a fair amount of food for your money. The pizzas, for example, aren't sold singly but in sets of two (or, in one case, four), while the ice cream cartons also come in pairs. Frozen appetizers, too, are in party-sized packages, but you don't need to be throwing a party or feeding a family to enjoy the convenience. Frozen foods, by their very nature, are imperishable as long as they stay frozen, so even solo shoppers can stock up on these super-sized deals.

An Asian appetizer

Do you have the patience to fill and fold over 100 tiny wontons? If so, with the right ingredients and recipe, you might be able to come up with something similar to Bibigo Chicken and Cilantro Mini Wontons, one of the frozen Costco foods that taste homemade. Why bother, though? The work's already been done for you here, so all that's left to do is pan-fry or microwave the wontons for a few minutes for a tasty anytime snack.

3-pound bags of Bibigo Chicken and Cilantro Mini Wontons are available at Costco for $11.34

Cheese-topped soup

Frozen soup may not be as common as the canned kind, but Cuisine Adventures French Onion Soup is worth seeking out. It's not just soup, you see, but each of the six individually packaged portions comes with croutons and a Swiss cheese topper. Some Redditors say it tastes like something you'd get from a restaurant. "Flavor is really nice and the cheese tastes real – onions and croutons likewise taste like the real stuff," said one person, while others lamented their inability to find the item. (It seems to be seasonal, but Costco has it in stores as of November 2026.)

Purchase the Cuisine Adventures French Onion Soup at Costco for $13.07.

A dessert to bring to the potluck

In need of a Costco dessert to bring to a potluck or a kids' party? Ice cream is always welcome, and Kirkland Signature Ice Cream Bars make for an economical option. Each of the 18 chocolate-dipped bars of vanilla ice cream in the box costs just $0.67, but the roasted almonds added to the coating make this dessert feel (and taste) elevated.

Purchase the Kirkland Signature Ice Cream Bars at Costco for $12.02.

A fall-flavored dessert

Pumpkin spice may have a better PR team, but apple and cranberry have just as much cred as full-fledged fall flavors. You'll find both of them in Urban Bistro Cran-Apple Pie Squares, which were one of our Costco finds for September 2026. It seems these flavorful frozen pastries are still available, which checks out. After all, November is right when cranberries start hitting their stride in the run-up to the holiday season, while apples are never out of style.

Purchase a 12-count box of Urban Bistro Cran-Apple Pie Squares at Costco for $10.18.

Fries like Mickey D's

Costco's Kirkland Signature Extra Crispy French Fries are a product that some fans say rivals the fries sold by fast food restaurants. (A Redditor suggests they're most similar to Wendy's.) The package recommends baking the fries in an oven or air fryer or cooking them in a deep fryer, with the last option being the most flavorful. Here's a hot tip, though: You can also shallow fry them in a pan for extra deliciousness without all the mess.

5-pound bags of Kirkland Signature Extra Crispy French Fries are available at Costco for $6.80.

Fusion pizza

K-pizza is a thing now? Sure it is, say the good people at Bibigo. In fact, its Korean BBQ-Style Pizza made our list of the best new Costco frozen items of 2026. It's topped with beef chunks, caramelized onions, carrots, green onions, and a mozzarella-cheddar blend, with Korean-style barbecue sauce taking the place of tomato sauce. "Picked this up at Costco and really liked it. Good crust, really good toppings, especially the seasoning of the beef," remarked one Redditor, noting they planned to purchase the product again.

Two-packs of Bibigo Korean BBQ-Style Pizzas are available at Costco for $13.61.

High-quality ice cream

One of the most popular private-label products offered by Costco is Kirkland Signature Super Premium Vanilla Ice Cream, which is produced by California's Humboldt Creamery. As one Facebook user described it, "This ice cream is amazing! [...] Creamy and delicious." A Redditor said, " ... The texture is borderline Cold Stone texture. It's creamy, thick, sweet enough but not overly sweet. Very satisfying overall."

Two half-gallon cartons of Kirkland Signature Super Premium Vanilla Ice Cream are available at Costco for $14.74.

An Italian-style side

Bagged frozen vegetable blends can be convenient but boring. Not Tattooed Chef Calabrian Vegetable Blend, however. This not-so-standard mixture of bell peppers, eggplant, olives, onions, and zucchini is further enhanced with a basil-flavored tomato sauce and kicked up with a little Calabrian chile pepper. An Instagram user said, "Not spicy at all, just tangy/zingy, very delicious!" They recommended using it to top pasta or rice for a quick vegetarian meal.

3-pound bags of Tattooed Chef Calabrian Vegetable Blend are available at Costco for $12.47.

Meat-free pizza

Costco's frozen pizzas might not taste the same as the kind sold at the food court, but they sure last a lot longer. The cheapest frozen one available is Kirkland Signature Cheese Pizza, a freezer staple that's good to have on hand. For one thing, it ensures that visiting vegetarians always have something to eat. For another, it can be dressed up with toppings from pesto to prosciutto to make gourmet custom pizzas for carnivores and meat shunners alike.

Four-packs of Kirkland Signature Cheese Pizza are available at Costco for $12.47.

A non-messy breakfast

One of the best new Costco breakfast items of 2026 is something that allows you to enjoy your favorite everything bagel with cream cheese without the cheesy filling oozing out and making a mess. With Bagelista Stuffed Bagel Minis, the filling is entirely surrounded by an everything bagel exterior, and instead of biting into a great big bagel, you can pop a bite-sized morsel in your mouth.

30-ounce, 20-piece bags of Bagelista Stuffed Bagel Minis are available at Costco for $14.63.

A Smuckers knockoff

In 1995, Smuckers took the drudgery out of daily sandwich-making by introducing Uncrustables to supermarket freezer cases. 30 years later, many Costco customers consider Charlotte's Peanut Butter and Strawberry Jam CrustOffs to be an improvement upon the original. "Great sandwiches, healthy, good value, and lots of protein in them! Would totally recommend other than Uncrustables," was the opinion of one five-star reviewer.

18-count boxes of Charlotte's Peanut Butter and Strawberry Jam CrustOffs are available at Costco for $13.61.

Sneakily nutritious hash browns

Veggies Made Great is a company that specializes in sneaking vegetables into places where they'll remain largely undetected. (Achieving greatness by stealth.) For its Loaded Breakfast Potato Bakes, the potatoes are out in the open in hash brown format, but zucchini hides inside the cheddar cheese and egg white filling. This much-maligned summer squash isn't everyone's favorite (it only ranks #39 on a YouGov list of America's most popular vegetables), but it is very nutritious. It's also unobtrusive enough that it can be hidden in cakes and brownies, so it doesn't overpower these hash browns' cheesy potato flavor.

18-count boxes of Veggies Made Great Loaded Breakfast Potato Bakes are available at Costco for $14.74.

Spicy, cheesy poppers

Cheddar and cream cheese-stuffed jalapeño poppers are a great game day appetizer, but they definitely fall into the category of something that's much easier to buy in frozen form than to make from scratch. Facebook users highly recommend the Feel Good Foods Crispy Jalapeño Bites carried by Costco, with one saying, "They are sooo good," and another adding, "These are my absolute favorite. They're the only thing that tastes like real jalapeño poppers to me."

32-ounce boxes of Feel Good Foods Crispy Jalapeño Bites are available at Costco for $13.61.

A swicy chicken dish

Some of our favorite Asian-style takeout dishes balance sweet and spicy flavors, and true to its name, so does Crazy Cuizine Sweet Fire Chicken. It consists of chicken breast cooked in a Korean-style sweet and spicy sauce with bell peppers, carrots, onions, and pineapple. One Redditor said of the dish, " ... Both the meal and the leftovers were spot on for good American Chinese sweet & sour chicken," while another wrote, "Very similar to any sweet n sour pork/chicken you would get at a quick service Chinese restaurant. It's sweet but with the heat it wasn't an issue."

48-ounce bags of Crazy Cuizine Sweet Fire Chicken are available at Costco for $14.74.

An underrated pizza style

According to some Costco customers, one frozen pizza is the crown jewel of the whole aisle: Authentic Motor City Pizza Co. Double Pepperoni Detroit-Style Deep Dish Pizza. Like all Detroit-style pizzas, it is square rather than round, with a thick and chewy crust. It also has cheese that stretches (mostly) to the sides of the included cardboard cooking pan, allowing for extra-crispy edges.

2-count packages of Authentic Motor City Pizza Co. Double Pepperoni Detroit-Style Deep Dish Pizza are available at Costco for $14.74.
