This Chocolate-Loaded Aldi Dessert Has Shoppers Running To The Freezer Section: 'I Will Fill The Bottom Half Of My Freezer With Them'

We always keep our eye out on the monthly finds at Aldi (here's some killer Aldi finds for the month of November), but shoppers uncover new things at a rapid clip. Case in point, a Redditor found a new ice cream novelty in the freezer case and made a post saying, "I ate two today. How are these so good?"

This item in question would be the Sundae Shoppe Brownie & Coffee Ice Cream Sandwiches, which are composed of coffee ice cream with brownie-style cookies. Commenters are pretty excited about these, saying things like, "I cannot wait to see these at my location, I will fill the bottom half of my freezer with them." Another commenter said they'd already tried them, proclaiming "They are absolutely delicious! They've got a strong coffee flavor and a fudgy chocolate cake!" 

One Aldi shopper noted that Trader Joe's sells a similar product (that would be the Brownie Crisp Coffee Ice Cream Sandwiches), but said in regards to the Aldi version, "I think these are better." If you're on the lookout, these things might already be flying out the door. When checking on availability in our neighborhood (in Chicago), they're currently listed as being out of stock.

If your local Aldi runs out of these alluring Sundae Shoppe Brownie & Coffee Ice Cream Sandwiches, you do have a few runner-up choices at the discount grocer. Aldi sells a 12-pack of Sundae Shoppe Vanilla Ice Cream Sandwiches, which are your typical chocolate wafer and vanilla ice cream sandwiches, for $3.25. You might also be able to find Ben & Jerry's Half-Baked, which has cookie dough and fudge brownie pieces in chocolate and vanilla ice cream. (Aldi also used to sell a Ben & Jerry's Chocolate Fudge Brownie knockoff at one point, but it appears to be discontinued.)

The closest coffee-related frozen treat we can find are the Sundae Shoppe Cappuccino Gelato Cups, which come in a two-pack for $3.99 and are flavored like a classic cappuccino. For those of you who like the combination of coffee ice cream and chocolate, it may be worth it to dig around your nearest Aldi's reach-in freezer section, which is where all the frozen Aldi Finds tend to be located. Just know they may be a hot seller, if they haven't sold out already.
