Costco Fans Are Swarming The Food Court For This New Fall Sundae: 'Okay This Looks 10/10'

Treating yourself to an always-cheap Costco hot dog is a satisfying reward for finishing your shopping list, yet a resident Instagram Costco hawk recently spotted something sweeter gracing the food court. The discount warehouse is leaning into the flavors of fall with an Apple Pie Sundae. As the Instagram user who posted the video put it, "Costco knew exactly what they were doing with this one!"

The $2.99 dessert is basically apple pie à la mode in a cup with vanilla ice cream, pie crust pieces, and apple pie topping filling up the plastic container. And as straightforward as that is, people are clamoring to get a taste on their next trip to the food court. One person commenting on the Instagram video said, "This looks amazing! Perfect for fall!" Another gave it a stamp of approval upon seeing it, saying, "Okay this looks 10/10." One shopper was blown away at the sight of Costco's new food court addition when they said, "Omg when you think Costco cannot top the strawberry shortcake they do this."

A few people weren't as impressed with the fall-inspired dessert, but most folks were counting the days until their next journey to Costco. But that's still not to say everyone thought it was perfection in a cup. Quite a few shoppers thought one flavorful addition would put this new food court treat over the top.

What Costco members think the new Apple Pie Sundae needs

Costco's Apple Pie Sundae has officially appealed to the masses (visually at least), but perfection is a high bar to reach. Many people seeing the latest addition to the food court for the first time offered the same suggestion as an upgrade to the dessert. As Costco devotees may be aware, the once-discontinued churro is back in the food court for a limited time and many people in the comment section said it's exactly what the Apple Pie Sundae needs for the ultimate fall dessert experience. One person even had the brilliant notion of using the beloved churro as an edible utensil to scoop up the sweet sundae.

Some had an alternative recommendation for enhancing the dessert. One person suggested, "With a yummy caramel drizzle would be lovely." To be honest, it does seem like a treat begging for a buttery caramel topping, though it would likely increase the calorie count and the whopping 750 calories already included is enough to put some off the dessert entirely.

Of course, Costco can't please everyone, and there were some folks who simply weren't impressed. "I didn't like it. It needs Carmel and a different kind of crumple [sic]," one shopper said. Still, if you think Costco's Apple Pie Sundae sounds good you might want to stay in line even if the food court is slammed to get this taste of fall in a cup before they're gone.
