Halloween isn't a major gift-giving occasion, but it's certainly a major food holiday once you take into account all of the goodies handed out at the door to costumed kids. That's not even mentioning all of the treats shared at school parties, work parties, and all the other festivities that take place during a celebration that now seems to last the entire month of October. Consumers typically spend almost $200 each on Halloween every year, with over half of that amount going to purchasing candy. It's no wonder then that many shoppers choose to save a few bucks by seeking out the best bulk Halloween candy deals at big box stores like Sam's Club.

Quite a few Sam's Club candies are worth grabbing on your next shopping trip, with most being sold in bulk because such is the way of the warehouse. Sam's Club's Halloween treats aren't limited to candies, either; they also include fruit snacks, cookies, and drinks which have been individually packaged for easy distribution.

Such high numbers seem sufficiently statistically significant to ensure your Sam's Club Halloween haul will make for well-received handouts.

AirHeads are a solid name-brand choice if you want to go with a non-chocolate candy. The 4.8-star, 90-piece variety pack sold at Sam's includes six different flavors: blue raspberry, cherry, grape, orange, watermelon, and the not-so-mysterious white mystery flavor. (Spoiler: It's a combo of any two other flavors that's made because the factory doesn't empty the machine before switching batches.) "Great variety and good taste," said one purchaser. Another added, "Great package for a good product. Price is right too."

Even if your budget doesn't run to full size chocolate candy bars, that's okay; the miniature variety are still more than welcome. The first two have fillings tinted a ghoulish green (hence the name of the assortment), while the Skittles are dubbed Shriekers since a random selection are supposed to be sour enough to elicit screams. "This mixed pack is a fun way to make Halloween candy feel even more special, and it was a huge hit with everyone!" said one satisfied shopper of the 4.8-star item.

This item has a 4-.9-star rating with shoppers praising the variety: "This was a great mix and variety, no duds in this bag," said one. Of all the items on this list, this giant jar of Peanut M&M'S is the only one not suitable for trick or treat distribution since the candies aren't individually wrapped. One purchaser said, "Loved setting these out in a Halloween bowl." Others who reviewed this 4.7-star item admitted they kept the candy for themselves and their families.
