The Best Burger King Chicken Item Money Can Buy Is Worth The Couple Extra Bucks

As much as we love our Whoppers, sometimes we're just in the mood for chicken. That's why we tried nine different chicken items from Burger King to see which one was worth your hard-earned cash and came away with some interesting discoveries. Our taste tester said that the Club Original Chicken Sandwich from Burger King is the best of the bunch.

The sandwich has the original chicken patty (the oblong one) on a soft sesame seed bun, with Swiss cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and double mayo for $7.99, as opposed to $5.97 for the Original. (These prices reflect the purchase at a location in Queen Creek, Arizona.) Our tester said, "The saltiness of the crispy chicken patty came through while the bacon and mayo made for a gooey experience; many napkins were needed." Though all that mayonnaise does make for a potentially sloppy choice, they found it was a small price to pay for a superior sandwich. But before you head over to the nearest Burger King, there is one detail you'll want to keep in mind.

Unfortunately, you've got a short time to order Burger King's Club Original Chicken Sandwich, as it's a limited-time item. It was originally released in July 2026 alongside the Loaded Jalapeño Original Chicken Sandwich, which features jalapeño sauce, crispy onions, crispy and pickled jalapeños, lettuce, tomatoes, and American cheese (not to be confused with BK's disappointing Mexican Chicken Sandwich). Many of the standard chicken offerings at Burger King aren't bad either, though in our opinion, the Classic Original Chicken Wrap isn't worth the money due to the fact that it was pretty bland.

If you do end up missing out, you can recreate the Club Original Chicken Sandwich using your best fast food ordering buddy, the mobile app. All you need to do is order Burger King's Original Chicken Sandwich and make some additions. The Original Sandwich includes the chicken patty, lettuce, and mayo, so simply tack on bacon, tomatoes, and cheese. Adding bacon is an additional $0.90, and tomatoes are an extra $0.30 — these prices are from a BK in Queen Creek, Arizona, but can vary by location.

My local Burger King seems to have Swiss cheese on hand all the time, so if that's an option for you, add that on too for an additional $1 (though you can sub in American). Despite the upcharges, this order may actually be well worth it, considering the Club Original Chicken Sandwich at Burger King came in as our absolute favorite.
