What's New At Publix In September 2026: Top Finds To Grab Fast

Add The Takeout on Google:

Publix is one of America's most beloved grocery stores. While some shoppers complain that Publix is an overpriced chain, the Florida-based supermarket has its fair share of die-hard fans. Plenty of Southeastern shoppers are willing to pay higher prices for solid customer service and squeaky-clean stores. The chain's Pub subs and well-stocked bakery keep customers coming back, too.

If you're a fan of Publix's bakery, you're in luck: There are plenty of fresh fall items this month. We've included a few — including a gooey chocolate cake and pumpkin-flavored madeleines — in our roundup of 12 new Publix products. Our finds aren't all cookies and cakes, though. Pre-seasoned meats and ready-to-eat entrees also made the list.

Intrigued by something you can't find in-store? Publix lets customers request specific products by filling out a form at the customer service desk. Just act fast, since many of these are limited-edition items.

Brown Butter Pistachio Shortbread Cookies

Nut-studded shortbread cookies are nothing new, with pecans and walnuts being popular add-ins, but Publix's pistachio shortbread offers a fresh take on the classic treat. Brown butter adds a little extra toasty nuttiness that brings out the pistachio flavor. These Brown Butter Pistachio Shortbread Cookies come in a package of 10.

Decadent Caramel Pecan Cookies

Earlier this year, Publix released a line of copycat Crumbl cookies — and they sell for roughly half the price of the real deal. The sweets come in different flavors, with each box having two of the same. Now, Publix released Decadent Caramel Pecan Cookies just in time to ring in autumn. If you think that pecan is an underrated fall flavor, you'll enjoy the chocolate base topped with caramel buttercream and toasted pecans.

Beer Bratwurst

Don't be too impressed by Publix's boasts that these Beer Bratwursts are made with real beer — the same was true of every other supermarket beer brat we could find. Still, Publix shoppers hoping to get a taste of Oktoberfest should grab these limited-edition brats while they can. Pair them with a batch of hot-from-the-oven homemade pretzels.

Pumpkin Madeleines

This new bakery item gives the classic cookie an autumn twist. Publix's Pumpkin Madeleines, with notes of ginger, nutmeg, and cloves, would make a sweet addition to a Halloween party snack spread — if you're willing to share. Grab a container of these limited-edition sweets before they're gone.

Hazelnut Crunch Bar Cake

Nutella lovers, this Publix bakery cake is for you. Downing half of this chocolate-hazelnut cake in one sitting feels slightly more respectable than eating the sweet spread straight from the jar. Either way, no judgment. Just like the Pumpkin Madeleines, this Hazelnut Crunch Bar Cake is also limited edition.

Pumpkin Spice Iced Bread

This limited-edition Pumpkin Spice Iced Bread would make a great breakfast for crisp fall mornings. Want a little extra oomph? Toast it, top it with cream cheese, and sprinkle it with cinnamon sugar. It would also make a delectable, fall-themed French toast. Imagine having a bite of that with pumpkin spice whipped cream.

Mini Crab Cakes with Sweet Heat Dipping Sauce

These Mini Crab Cakes with Sweet Heat Dipping Sauce are for everyone who loves homemade crab cakes but hates hand-picking the shells from the meat. These crab cakes are air fryer ready — no prep necessary. If the sweet heat dipping sauce isn't your thing, you can make a quick tartar sauce — it's almost as easy as adding crab cakes to an air fryer.

Cookie Dough Pumpkin New York Style Cheesecake

Publix is going ham on pumpkin-flavored goods. Its bakery now offers New York-style cheesecake slices that pair pumpkin with cookie dough for a playful twist on a classic fall flavor. The limited-edition Cookie Dough Pumpkin Cheesecake slices come in easily shareable two-packs.

Apple Filled Crown Danishes

But why should pumpkin get all the love for fall? If you're the type of person who hates pumpkin spice or simply likes a little variety in your fall treats, you'll enjoy this two-pack of autumnal Apple Filled Crown Danishes from Publix's bakery section.

Hatch Chili Mac & Cheese with Beef Brisket

This single-serving, oven-ready mac and cheese meal offers a beefed-up version of a classic comfort food. The three-cheese mac and cheese — which combines cheddar, colby Jack, and Monterey Jack — is topped with beef brisket and chili sauce. The Hatch Chili Mac & Cheese with Beef Brisket is perfect for individuals who want a quick dinner.

Smoky Garlic Spice Marinated Chicken Thigh Stir Fry

There's just something about smoky flavors, especially in the crisp fall air. We can't all cook outdoors, though, so Publix's Smoky Garlic Spice Marinated Chicken Thigh Stir Fry is the next best thing. They're meant for stir-fries, but you could easily add the shredded meat to soups or casseroles.

Glazed Apple Sour Cream Donuts

Chilly weather means apple cider donuts, and Publix came through with these limited-edition Glazed Apple Sour Cream Cake Donuts. Even if you are on Team Yeast Donut, these apple donuts will probably catch your eye in their clamshell packaging. Each box includes six donuts topped with a gooey glaze.
