The Hands-Down Most Affordable Meal At Olive Garden In 2026

Fast casual restaurants are booming, and for good reason. Fast food prices are going up, and a $20 sit-down meal doesn't look so bad when a burger and fries cost just as much. Classic chains like Olive Garden are cashing in: The Italian-American chain has seen a boost in sales in 2026. While Olive Garden's prices aren't as low as they were in the '90s, it still offers an affordable way to feed a family. Those entrees can add up, though. If you want to stick to a budget, what should you buy? 

Olive Garden serves its cheapest meals at lunch. Diners looking for a lighter lunchtime meal can order Soup, Salad, and Breadsticks, which costs $9.99 at my nearest location, $12.49 in Chicago, and $13.99 in New York. If you're looking for something heartier — sides included — opt for a lunch-sized entree. The cheapest options include Alfredo Fettuccine, Eggplant Parmigiana, and classic Spaghetti, which share the same price. At the locations I checked, they cost between $10.99 and $14.99. 

The bad news: Olive Garden only serves lunch until 3 pm Monday through Friday. Only pricier dinner options are available on Saturday and Sunday, regardless of the time of day. Diners can order still order the Soup, Salad, and Breadsticks meal for dinner, albeit for a slight upcharge over the lunchtime price. The cheapest full-size options on the dinner menu include the Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Spaghetti with Marinara, which cost $13.99 to $18.99.

Finding the best prices at Olive Garden isn't necessarily as easy as picking the cheapest thing on the menu. If you're on a strict budget, you can always opt for an app: The chain's Meatballs Parmigiana or Lasagna Fritta may be enough to fill you up. The chain offers smaller servings of dinner entrees as part of the Lighter Portions menu, too. A lighter serving of Fettuccine Alfredo, Eggplant Parmigiana, or Five Cheese Ziti will cost between $12.99 and $16.99.

Apps and lighter options won't offer the best bang for your buck, though. They don't come with sides, so a full-fledged meal will be a better deal. If you really want to save, take advantage of Olive Garden's promotions. The chain has an ongoing $6 take-home entree deal, where diners who purchase a regular entree can add a microwave-ready container of Five Cheese Ziti, Fettuccine Alfredo, or Spaghetti with Meat Sauce for $6 (or slightly more, depending on location). You'll get a full-size portion of pasta, albeit without sides and breadsticks.

While you might've missed your chance to get Olive Garden's $100 Never-Ending Pasta Pass, you can nab a Never-Ending Pasta Bowl through November 22. Bowls start at $14.99 and include unlimited soup and breadsticks. Just make sure to tip well, and don't try to game the system — you don't want to be the customer who makes Olive Garden employees roll their eyes.
