Costco Shoppers Just Spotted A Bakery Find That Proves Pumpkin Isn't The Only Fall Favorite

'Tis the season for pumpkin to get its annual moment of recognition as grocery stores and food menus become flooded with pumpkin-flavored everything. And while manufacturers are just giving consumers the pumpkin products they crave, other cozy fall flavors, like apple cider, are often put on the back burner with their tasty potential often forgotten about — but not at Costco.

12-count packs of apple cider donuts by Canadian bakery brand CT Bakery have recently landed in Costco warehouses for the fall season. Judging by the looks of what's already been posted on social media by the account Costco Buys, every shopper that appreciates a sweet, slightly spiced, fluffy donut will be enticed to put a pack (or two) in their carts. The apple-cider flavored donuts are cake-style, with the exterior generously coated in cinnamon sugar. Each pack sells for $6.99 in-store.

"Oh my gosh, the apple cider donuts are the bomb!!! So, so good ... gone in one day ... looking for more," wrote one commenter on the Costco Buys Facebook post. While there's been selection of new items at Costco in August, seasonal baked items at the warehouse typically go fast, so these may be one to get your hands on before we get too far into the fall season.

While the seasonal apple cider donuts at Costco are a breath of fresh air from the typical pumpkin baked goods, the warehouse isn't the only store carrying this autumnal donut flavor. Trader Joe's shoppers are also going wild for the return of the store's apple cider donuts. Though when comparing the two deals, the price of Costco's 12-pack apple cider donuts may be a better value than the 6-count pack of Trader Joe's apple cider donuts.

Other seasonal items spotted so far at Costco include its customer-favorite ready-to-bake 5-pound chicken pot pie found in the bakery, as well as its 8-count Kirkland Signature pumpkin streusel muffins for $6.99. Costco members can also expect to see the return of its nearly 4-pound Kirkland Signature Pumpkin Pie in stores late August or early September. But for shoppers looking to skip the pumpkin and get a taste of another classic fall flavor, Costco's apple cider donuts may be the seasonal treat worth grabbing first.
