Expertise
Italian wine, Food tourism, Asian cuisine
- Guided by a passion for food and travel, Raelynn moved to Northern Italy.
- When she's not on the go, she's watching Korean school lunch videos on YouTube and inviting friends over for her latest take on beef bulgogi or Vietnamese spring rolls.
- She defines herself as a "super smeller" (though not officially) and can tell you everything in a dish or drink just by the scent, making it a useful tool in the kitchen.
Experience
Raelynn's introduction to the food industry started during college when she worked cleaning restaurants. During her university years, she interned for Alaska Airlines Magazine, writing about dreamy destinations, and after graduating, she embarked on her own overseas adventures. She headed to Taiwan, where she became enthralled by the small island's night market culture, and in 2022, she moved to Northern Italy to study gastronomy. Raelynn utilized her combined culinary knowledge and journalism experience to write for Italy Segreta and Slow Food International, covering topics such as EU agricultural policy, coffee producers in remote parts of the world, and Slow Food initiatives. Today, she continues to traverse the globe in search of mouthwatering bites and juicy words, hoping to spark curiosity about culture and food for her readers.
