Monopoly Pizza Edition Is Here, Complete With Parmesan-Shaker Token

Pizza has shown up everywhere the past few years: on clothing, on nail art, on this $40 makeup palette that I honest-to-god purchased this week. So it's not surprising that Hasbro wants a slice of that pie—eyyyyyy—with its newly released Monopoly Pizza board game.

Housed in a box shaped like a cardboard pizza delivery vessel, the game features the same Monopoly set-up, with some saucy tweaks: tokens are a Parmesan shaker (not as greasy as it is in real life), cheese grater, or pizza cutter; and the goal is to collect toppings and slices, not property. (Here's hoping pepperoni is Boardwalk.) Board game review site Dice Tower News notes that when players collect trios of the same "color" toppings—like all veggies, for example—they create a "combo pie" such as Veggie Lover's or BBQ. The player who collects the most pizza slices and money wins the game, which makes this slightly different from standard Monopoly, which does not have pizza. Just to be clear.

The game is currently available for preorder at Walmart for about $20.
