Last Call: Carol Burnett Is Back On TV, Thank Goodness

A Little Help With Carol Burnett (Netflix)

Carol Burnett is one of the three women my husband is allowed to leave me for (along with Bernadette Peters and Jamie Lee Curtis). I totally get it; she is goddamn delightful. So I'm psyched that she's now returned to the small screen, in a talk-show format where small children try to solve other people's problems, alongside some famous celebrity friends like Lisa Kudrow and Billy Eichner. Carol Burnett is so warm, she makes an excellent talk-show host. But I would watch anything with her in it, honestly: 85 years old, she's still super-funny, and she finds the weird things the kids come up with even funnier. [Gwen Ihnat]

Highlander Brewing’s Coffee Dark Mild

I judged a beer festival over the weekend here in Missoula, Montana, and the best of show winner was a coffee dark mild from hometown brewery Highlander Beer. Its smooth roast complemented rather than overpowered the delicate base beer's bready malts. Anyone have recommendations for other coffee dark milds? Can we make this A Thing? [Kate Bernot]

Ya’boy Kevin on TV tonight

Andrew Zimmern has long been a friend of The Takeout. Last fall, Zimmern came to Chicago to film his newest Travel Channel series, The Zimmern List, and he was nice enough to invite yours truly to show him around town. That episode airs Tuesday (tonight!) at 9 p.m. Eastern, so tune in and help our pal Andrew with them Nielsen numbers. [Kevin Pang]
