So A Racehorse Runs Into A Bar...

Yes, this is one of those stories that sounds like it's waiting for the punchline, but we can't help but feel a little bad for the horse in question. Reuters reports that a racehorse got loose and busted into a bar near the racecourse in Chantilly, France, about 30 miles north of Paris. The filly's trainer said that he lost control of the animal as he led her from the stables (where some scenes in the James Bond movie A View To A Kill were shot) to a racecourse, and stated that "the young horse has a fondness for running off."

Winding up in a tavern, she runs all the way down the length of the bar before turning around in the small space and busting out again, as terrified drinkers scatter everywhere, behind the bar and out the door (unsurprisingly, as a kick to the head from the no-doubt terrified animal seemed like an inevitability). Bar owner Stephane Jasmin told Reuters, "There was quite a panic. I still can't quite believe it happened."

Reuters reports that fortunately, no one was hurt in the incident. We have no doubt this filly is great on the racetrack, but anybody else feel like kidnapping her and taking her to an island somewhere where she can just run around?
