Last Call: Young Hearts Be Free Tonight
Jesus Christ Superstar
I loved Jesus Christ Superstar as a kid, also known as the double album my mom would play when she lacked the strength to take us to church. The "what's the buzz, tell me what's-a-happening" refrain was much preferable to boring Sunday mass. Consequently, I know the whole musical by heart. I missed seeing it live, but I was excited to hear that Sunday's performance of JCS, with John Legend in the title role, did so well, and I can't wait to watch it myself and catch up. Although I hear that Judas might have stolen the show. [Gwen Ihnat]
Priests covers “Young Turks” by Rod Stewart
One of the best parts of being part the Onion Inc. family is all the cool folks who stop by our office. Just this year: Patrick Stewart, Ken Burns, Gail Simmons, The Daily Show correspondents, Andy Richter. That plus all the bands who stop by our studio—the highlight for me has got to be the Washington, D.C.-quartet Priests covering the '80s classic "Young Turks" by Rod Stewart. [Kevin Pang]
