Last Call: Why People Turn Their Phone Screens To Black And White
A photographer I follow on Instagram posted today that he's on day 5 of turning his iPhone display to grayscale. (Here are instructions for how to do it, via Lifehacker.) Apparently, he's doing it to help him combat phone addiction. I didn't know a grayscale display was a feature, but it's apparently filed under your phone menu's accessibility tab because it helps some people with color blindness better see their displays. According to the photographer, it has the added bonus of making everyone's photos look "fantastic." [Kate Bernot]
Who else is watching this Bachelor season?
Basically, I just watch The Bachelor to hang out with some friends after the inevitable trials of Mondays. This being Dryuary, I find I consume a ton of chocolate instead of wine. But so far (two weeks in), this season has been a disappointment. With all the other options available (Jason! Blake!), The Bachelor went with Colton, who, while apparently a very nice person, is not necessarily overflowing with the personality. And the women on the show already host too many villains (Demi and Catherine? And Tracy is a bit of a drama queen). I really miss Becca from last season—she would have put all of these terrible people in their respective places. But, I'll probably stick it out, just for the awesome friends and the chocolate.
