How To Make The Hanky Panky Cocktail

This season of A.V. Cocktail Club focuses on classic cocktails that are easy to make at home. This week, Chicago bartender Laura Kelton shows us the Hanky Panky—if you're a fan of the negroni, you'll enjoy this classic gin cocktail that adds minty notes, courtesy of Fernet-Branca.

Hanky Panky

1.5 oz. London dry gin1.5 oz. sweet vermouth1 tsp. Fernet-Branca

In a mixing glass, combine all ingredients. Add ice and stir about 30 seconds to dilute the drink, then strain into glass. Take a piece of orange peel and, using a lighter, hold the flame to the peel as you squeeze it to release its juices over the glass. Garnish with peel and serve.
