Correction: Denver Is Not Planning Cannibal Tasting Rooms

Just to set the record straight: Cannibal tasting rooms are not—we repeat: are not—coming to Denver. Thank you for your attention.

If you'd watched Fox affiliate KDVR's broadcast last night, you might have seen an alarming chyron—the term for those subtitles at the bottom of a newscast—reading: "Bill would allow cannibals tasting rooms." The word should have been cannabis, obviously, which is a huge relief unless you believe in some Reefer Madness-esque world where the two are synonymous.

The thrust of the actual news story is that a group of Colorado lawmakers has introduced a bill that would allow dispensaries to set up "tasting rooms" or areas for on-site sampling and consumption of marijuana. Read more about the decidedly-not-about-eating-human-flesh proposal via Westword.
