You Have To Stop Believing This Myth About Dark Beers

Dark beer has a reputation for being heady, but many people believe that just because it’s dark, it’s got a higher alcohol content. However, this is just a myth.
The color of the beer doesn’t necessarily correlate to the amount of alcohol in it. The color comes from the malt in it that’s been roasted to a dark hue prior to brewing.
The level the malt has been roasted to doesn’t affect the drink’s alcohol levels. The roasted flavor is independent of the alcohol content in the beer.
