Hot dogs are a summer staple, but it's important to know how soon you'll have to finish that opened pack of wieners before they start going bad.

A pack of refrigerated hot dogs has two weeks to be opened, and you have another week to consume them. Airtight containers are best for hot dogs, unless they can be resealed.

Even if you opened a new package of hot dogs and properly stored them, they could still go bad in less than a week. Keep an eye out for any sliminess, or a sour or musty smell.
